Advice for parents

In order to make sure your children gets the most out of their lessons, please remember to :
  • Dress them accordingly: anorak, mittens, sunglasses, sunscreen, handkerchiefs.
  • Children are strongly advised to wear helmets on the slopes.
  • Write their names on their clothes and skis.
  • Avoid following the lessons and calling out to your child during lessons.
  • Inform us of any health problems your child may have.
  • Leave it to the instructors to decide whether to change class.
  • Your child is on holiday and the aim is for them to enjoy themselves and want to come back. So respect their pace and don't try to turn them into champions before their time!

Don't forget to pack:
  • Whatever the period of your stay, take warm clothes. In the mountains, the weather changes very quickly!
  • Don't forget your children's age certificate so that you can get a free ski pass for children under 8 years old.

A few tips for your physical preparation

To tackle the first few days on the slopes, physical preparation (thighs, knees, hips and cardio-respiratory) is probably the most important thing to do. A few simple exercises will easily improve your physical condition before you hit the slopes. To develop respiratory endurance, jog, walk or cycle in sessions of at least 30 minutes. That way, you'll be able to follow the slopes without stopping too often... and maybe even succeed in the challenge of descending the blue Sairon slope non-stop!

In terms of muscles, the most important areas to strengthen are the abdominal muscles, the back, the shoulders and, of course, the lower limbs. Don't take the lift, take the stairs instead, and skip every other step. Ten push-ups a day before your shower, and you'll feel more toned. Practice "the chair", leaning against a wall with your legs bent at 90° and hold it for as long as possible! After each exercise, just like after a day's skiing, stretch your muscles and hydrate by drinking plenty of water. You'll feel much more relaxed and enjoy your fondue at dinner all the more!
